Recreation is the opportunity to test, experience and evaluate what was learned through the skill building classes and offer exploration of potential interests that many may otherwise not be afforded.
In the summer time we call it, "Fun Fridays" and throughout the rest of the year it is "Adventure Academy", but it is all a representation of recreational activities. Activities could range from a day at the lake and a hike, to golfing & bowling, weaving & beading, a baseball game, trip to a museam or show at Proctors. We have been able to take the group to places like Howe’s Cavern, The Baseball Hall of Fame, The Great Escape, and Yankees games in
Our people serve and work hard at volunteer sites Monday thru Thursday every week. They are in a constant learning environment and we want to offer them the opportunity to practice skills in a fun-filled recreational environment. This naturally provides a sense of relaxation and reward and it builds lasting friends and memories.
